Thursdayness

Happy Thursday...
I hope yours started off better than mine! If you follow me on Instagram (if you don't you should...) then you know why my day started off in a shit storm. On the upside, someone at work called me "tiny" today. Do you know the last time someone used that word to describe me? Oh right, it was the day before NEVER.

Today was a weigh-in. D.C. took its toll on my body. I had a gain of 1.8 pounds. I expected it though so I am not too upset. I enjoyed every bite of greasy pizza and every fluffy bite of cupcake and I don't regret it one bit! I am not the type to restrict myself. I think that is a recipe for disaster. I just try to control my portions but still {mostly} eat whatever I want. Life is too short to deny yourself constantly! I am stepping it up this week though.

Here is my menu for today:

Breakfast- PB smoothie
AM snack- hummus and cucumbers
Lunch- salad with taco seasoned ground turkey breast
PM snack- mozzarella string cheese and clementines
Dinner- Not sure yet...

Guess what? I have not bought cheeze-its in several weeks. For those of you who follow my blog on the reg know that I live for cheeze-its. If I was choosing food for my last meal, it would include cheeze-its. However, I found myself eating cheeze-its constantly. So, I have replaced my snacks with more healthy options!

  3. I'm totally with you on not depriving ourselves, just watching portions. I think your menu today sounds good too! I need to remember to pick up some hummus from the store this weekend, yum!

  5. Congrats to you on getting back on track! We all have weekends where we just have to allow ourselves to indulge. I don't blame you for taking in all the sights, sounds and tastes of DC at all! Back at it today, girl.
